Rondeivu“Redefining how private market deals are transacted”

Rondeivu Website

Role -> Product DesignerDuration -> May 2023 - August 2023

Summary As the sole product designer at Rondeivu, I worked directly with the front and backend developers within the tech team to design new features on the platform, and audited and improved existing flows.

With the product being launched one month prior to my onboarding, there was a large focus on predicting user needs for new features and re-designing existing flows to be more user-friendly and visually appealing.
Tools
  • Figma (design mockups, prototypes & journey flows)
  • Google Drive (documentation and project planning)
  • Slack & Outlook (communication and scheduling)

Design System Updates

PurposeOne of the first things I addressed was the lack of consistency in the design system and enforcing its implementation in the platform. While we did have a defined color system and font stylings, it was not used on the product and the design system was not made with a Material Angular framework in mind.

ProcessI conducted an audit of how the design system was being implemented on the platform and specifically where there were inconsistent uses of the style guide.

Some of the main issues I noted related to the visual aesthetics of components and elements. Details like inconsistent padding and using an incorrect font can impact the overall look and feel of a product especially in an age where users correlate a visually pleasing design to the trustworthiness of a brand or product.
ResultAfter completing the audit and working with the front end developer to understand the constraints of the framework they were coding in, I updated the existing style guide to better reflect its implementation in the product.

With these changes, I went through all the pages and laid out in detail the proper styling that should be applied to various elements and communicated these needs to the front end developer throughout the process of the implementation.
